CHILDREN’S ART NEPAL

Non-profit founded 2012

by NANCY LAGIN

Mission Statement:

The mission of CHILDREN’S ART NEPAL is to offer opportunities for creativity/self-expression in the arts to children and women who have little access to educational and cultural experiences.  While the focus is on children and women, other marginalized groups, rural and urban, will also be included in these free Art Workshops. Encouraging creativity and self-expression in the arts, especially for young children, is an essential part of fulfilling human potential, improving problem solving and enhancing daily living.  In addition to improving self-esteem and well-being, some of the skills taught could lead to small businesses and increasing personal incomes.

Work Ethic:

All original art works are signed by and left in the possession of the person who created it.  Photos are taken only with permission and possibly used to raise funds to sustain the workshops or augment individual or village incomes.  Extra art supplies will be left in villages or schools, for future free use by all interested.

"HOPE  . . . after the Earthquake" book

All proceeds from sales of HOPE BOOKs, ART PLAQUES and TOTE BAGS (coming soon!) are used to purchase quality art supplies, train Nepali assistants and the continuation of free workshops
